Respect is more important than being liked

If you want people to like you, just go with the crowd. Think like them, dress like them and talk like them. Simply put, cater to their insecurities so you can feel better about your own.

If you want people to respect you, be yourself and think for yourself. More importantly, keep your dignity so you, can respect you. People who like you won’t necessarily respect you, while people who don’t like you will possibly still respect you.

At the end of the day, be real instead of being who people want you to be, no matter how it works out. Deep down, nobody really likes a poser. – Coov
